About The Position

The Forklift Operator is responsible for accurately stocking product into locations and picking product throughout the facility. This position requires the completion of all required equipment sign out and inspection paperwork, as well as following standard operating procedures for scanning and labeling products. The operator will transport stock to various areas within the facility, maintain work areas in a neat and orderly condition, and work safely while complying with all established safety rules and practices. Additionally, the operator will keep the supervisor informed of important developments and coordinate plans and activities with others to ensure a team-oriented work effort.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in related position or field.
• Ability to work a schedule based on the understanding of responsibilities and priorities.
• Ability to accurately read and match numbers.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude and promote a safe working environment.
• Ability to contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ability to obtain equipment license or power equipment certification as required.
• Demonstrates Northern Tool + Equipment's 12 Core Competencies.

Responsibilities

• Completes all required equipment sign out and inspection paperwork.
• Accurately stocks/picks product based upon radio frequency (RF) and/or label instructions.
• Follows standard operating procedure for scanning and labeling product.
• Transports stock to all areas within the facility.
• Maintains work areas in a neat and orderly condition.
• Works safely and complies with all established safety rules and practices.
• Keeps supervisor informed of important developments and potential problems.
• Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others.
• Performs related work as apparent or assigned.
