About The Position

The Forklift Operator loads trucks with finished or semi-finished products for external and internal customers. The Forklift Operator receives loading assignments from dispatch in order of priority, as well as oral and/or written instructions recorded in SharePoint. Follows scanner instructions indicating the load to be carried out Calculates the truck loading configuration based on the materials in the deliveries (loads to be performed) Follows instructions from superiors and dispatch to improve work methods and avoid complaints or damage during loading Adapts to changes in work priorities or assignments at management’s request Communicates all necessary information to supervisors to enable performance reporting to management by completing the end-of-shift report (recording everything done during the shift) Loads delivery/shipment materials as requested, within the calculated timeframe and within the proposed floor space (floor meters) Performs overseas packaging Maintains order and cleanliness during and after each loading Respects the environment Ensures and monitors the quality and stability of packages and stacking inside the truck Packs or straps packages together to ensure stability or prevent damage (with or without supervisor request) Ensures and monitors safety Assists colleagues when needed Completes the loading document Connects batteries to chargers and refills them with water if required Counts items during inventory and cycle counts Takes photos of the load to guarantee loading quality in case of customer complaints Outside of live load, is responsible for closing trailers (tarpaulins) Respects third-party equipment (transporters’ trailers) Is courteous and polite with drivers and assists them when needed (maneuvering, movements, etc.) Ensures drivers comply with Stow’s internal rules Complies with load-securing legislation Performs pre-staging at the request of the supervisor Performs 5S audits according to instructions Optional: Moves trailers using the tractor

  • Ability to operate a front forklift (license or authorization required)
  • Ability to operate a reach truck (license or authorization required)
