About The Position

Xpedient is a full-service 3rd party logistics provider with experience in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment, and labor needs. This Forklift Operator II role involves operating powered industrial equipment such as stand-up and sit-down forklifts with fork or clamp attachments. Key tasks include loading/unloading pallets and cases, picking/staging orders, putting away pallets, and other general forklift work. The shift for this position is from 3pm to 11:30pm.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of forklift and warehouse experience
  • Must be super-efficient in all tasks required
  • Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
  • Ability to read, understand and follow instructions, and to code applicable documents
  • Must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills test
  • This position requires lifting cases weighing from 20-45 pounds repeatedly throughout a long work period
  • 18 years or older
  • Working in a high-speed manufacturing environment (e.g., team-oriented, deadline driven, high performance demands, fast-paced, etc.)
  • Driving a forklift (e.g., performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product, etc.)
  • Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.)
  • Working with standards of operation (e.g., OSHA requirements on minimum/maximum speeds, signaling, putting products in appropriate areas, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct operations in a manner promoting safety
  • Put away inbound shipments/move product to storage locations using a forklift
  • Picking cases by the each onto pallets using the powered equipment
  • Prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and correct item is staged for loading
  • Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy
  • Report quality variances
  • Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
  • Assist in any required physical inventories
  • Complete daily inspection of equipment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
  • Ensure proper stock rotation
  • Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards
  • Observe and follow health and safety regulations
  • Enforces operating instructions and safety policies
  • Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and procedures
  • Maintain detailed records of safety incidents
  • Assign designated safety personnel
  • Maintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition
