WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Operates a gas or electric forklift (sit down and stand up) in warehouse Performs daily machine inspections while adhering to established safety procedures. . Stacks product in storage/staging areas and loads shipments into trailer(s). Ensures proper labeling of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods. Uploads full and partial pallets, wraps pallets when necessary, stages product for loading, checks pallets for accuracy to order. Performs monthly cycle counts of packaging and supplies Maintains clean and organized aisles or racks storage, consolidates partial pallets when needed. Loads product into and from containers and or trailers. Communicates with management and maintenance personnel on a timely basis to facilitate maintenance and repairs. Prepares product for shipment according to schedule and collabrates with the shipping office for on-time delivery. Examines incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and any possible damages or defects. Contributes ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehouse procedures. Supports warehouse team by packing, strapping and wrapping pallet orders as needed. Routes the materials to proper departments or other plant locations. Informs shipping office/management of missing or damaged products. Occasionally operates company pickup truck with deliveries and pickups. Unloads and uploads trucks with use of forklift. Complies with company safety policies and maintains a clean and orderly work area. Complies with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms. Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum one (1+) year or more of related experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
  • Forklift certification required
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work well with all levels of employees, whether individually or in a team environment
  • Ability to perform good math skills
  • Effectively communicate questions, problems, and reports to co-workers, supervisor, and management personnel.
  • Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
  • Must display a positive attitude and work well with all levels of personnel.
