We are looking for a Forklift Driver to support warehouse operations by efficiently handling materials, ensuring timely movement of goods, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role is essential in keeping the warehouse running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
- Forklift certification required (must pass certification test).
- Experience using SAP preferred.
- Experience with UPS/FedEx shipping software and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) preferred.
- RF Scanner experience preferred.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one interactions with other employees.
- Must stand and move throughout the warehouse for 8-10 hours per day.
- Frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly use hands to handle, reach, and operate warehouse equipment.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
- Must have close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport, load, and unload materials safely.
- Review and process orders in SAP, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Safely move products within the warehouse, including stacking and organizing materials.
- Perform shipping tasks, including handling small parcels (UPS, FedEx) and skids (LTL shipments).
- Inspect and maintain forklifts, reporting any issues for timely repairs.
- Follow safety protocols and warehouse procedures to prevent accidents and maintain compliance.
- Assist in developing and improving shipping processes for greater efficiency.
- Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
