About The Position

Summary: The purpose/objective of this position is to utilize inventory parts process transferring production material and parts to and from warehouse control and production areas of need while operating Forklift Mobile Equipment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Perform and abide by safety policies and procedures while operating transport device (Forklift Mobile Equipment) and performing related assignments. Efficiently locating and moving stock of products, to and from inventory locations, to and from pallets, to and from production areas, to and from incoming and outgoing vehicles, be it incoming or outgoing shipments. Review inventory documentation and information related to assignments to assure product is delivered to and from inventory control accurately and within inventory process guidelines. Monitor progress of supplies, materials, parts and assemblies for early detection of shortages. Transport material while recording all transactions through inventory control processes. Prepare and package parts, material, and product, in a manner to assure transfer is safely and efficiently delivered/loaded to shipment or production areas. Perform, understand, comprehend, and communicate basic math functions primarily related to measurement, piece count, and inventory control. Communicates with inventory management and production management regarding material and parts needs for production and production return of material or parts to inventory. Performs Safety and Maintenance check of Forklift equipment before start, during operation, and end of use. Perform assignment of work to contribute to material, parts and product that are being produced according to MAC Trailer’s quality and quantity standards while supporting a safe work environment. Clean & keep organized the area in which you work during and at the end of the shift. Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Demonstrate the ability to successfully complete company designated safe mobile equipment operation requirements. Demonstrate basic math and measurement functions. Demonstrate the ability to interpret and understand both verbal and written forms of communication including necessary information regarding production and safety. Continued demonstration of the ability to work individually or as a member of a team. Ability to communicate in various forms of communication (Radio-In person- hand written documents) Ability to work assigned shifts. Ability to work in all seasons of weather outside or in production manufacturing environment. Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted. Experience or knowledge in tractor trailer building or service & repair is preferred. Experience in manufacturing or mechanical related field is preferred. Physical Demands: ● Manual dexterity or the equivalent is to be at a level that permits the employee to perform, basic functions of the job including safety, providing the ability to grasp and manipulate objects large and small with precise movement. ● At times and dependent upon area of assignment, may be required to lift over 50 lbs with assistance but less than 100lbs. ● Required to push and pull parts/material with arms and hands. ● Requirements of physical demands and exposure to dust and noise associated with industrial environments. TIER LEVEL Tier I: Employees in this tier are considered entry level to the position. This level of employee is under direct supervision as they learn the skills and duties of this position. Tier II: Employees in this position have developed the skills required to perform the work assignment. There is supervisor involvement checking completed work for quality. Tier III: Employees in this position have mastered the skills required to perform the job. The individual typically does not need direct supervision and is responsible for assisting in training of lower-level Tiers within the department.
