The Forklift Operator works closely with the Plant Shipping Supervisor to ensure the packaging, handling, and shipment of a quality product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of experience in warehousing and high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Certified and at least three years of proven forklift experience.
  • Must be available to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA/Forklift Trainer Certified.
  • Beverage Packaging industry experience.
  • Knowledge of AS400.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain activities of transporting product and equipment throughout the facility with a focus on optimizing Safety, Quality, Productivity and Spoilage.
  • Operate and maintain forklifts safely.
  • Communicate all pertinent information between departments and shifts regarding equipment, production schedules, and production problems.
  • Work with department warehousing, scheduling, process supplying, and product shipments.
  • Assist and train new operators as needed.
  • Apply skills and methods to improve plant production.
  • Inspect products to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Contribute to maintaining quality and recommend modifications to achieve optimal efficiencies.
  • Complete necessary documentation such as production sheets, pallet ticketing, scanning, and accident reporting.
  • Perform other job-related duties as required.
