About The Position

The Forklift Operator position involves loading and unloading incoming deliveries, outgoing dinners, and ingredients from delivery trucks, and stowing such items into proper areas throughout the plant while maintaining cleanliness and organization. The role requires the use of a forklift and appropriate safety gear, including a freezer suit, gloves, and freezer boots. The operator will perform various duties such as scanning outgoing shipments, manifesting and picking up palletized dinners, sorting and repairing incoming pallets, and servicing production operations with necessary ingredients and pallets. Maintaining a clean workspace and performing tasks safely and efficiently according to company procedures is essential. Cross-training within all job functions at the Freezer Distribution Center is also required.

Requirements

• Reading, writing, verbal communication (English) and math comprehension at 8th grade level.
• Ability to operate in small or confined spaces.
• Possess valid state Drivers License.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Loading and/or unloading of material from or onto trucks and designated storage areas throughout the plant and warehouse.
• Scanning all outgoing shipments.
• Manifest and pick up palletized dinners from casing area.
• Sort and repair all incoming pallets if necessary.
• Set-up and service Production Operations with ingredients and pallets as needed.
• Keep and maintain any record or statistical data as needed.
• Keep and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
• Perform job in a safe and efficient manner as directed by company procedures.
