About The Position

The End of Line Forklift Operator plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of finished goods from the production line to designated storage or shipping areas. This position supports the overall production flow by maintaining continuous material handling, safeguarding product quality, and ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled on time. By operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment, the End of Line Forklift Operator contributes directly to plant safety, productivity, and on-time delivery performance. The position will be scheduled for 3rd shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM); however, candidates must be willing to complete training on both 1st and 2nd shifts prior to the start of 3rd shift. 1st shift hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM. 2nd shift hours during the start-up phase are Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM. Candidates must also be flexible and willing to work mandatory overtime, weekends, or alternate shifts as business needs require.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to work mandatory overtime, weekends and different shifts as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift certification/experience
  • Minimum 1–2 years of forklift operation in a manufacturing, distribution, or warehouse setting.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to accurately check labels, counts, and product integrity.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to lift, stack, and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs. safely.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport finished product pallets from the end of the production line to warehouse storage or shipping docks.
  • Inspect finished goods for packaging integrity, proper labeling, and accuracy prior to storage or shipment.
  • Load and unload trailers, staging materials according to shipping schedules and company procedures.
  • Ensure accurate placement of finished goods in warehouse locations using scan guns or inventory systems when applicable.
  • Maintain a clean and organized end-of-line area to prevent product mix-ups, safety hazards, or workflow disruptions.
  • Communicate with production and warehouse teams to ensure smooth flow of goods and timely loading.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including pre-shift equipment inspections, PPE requirements, and proper load-handling techniques.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and quality checks as required.
  • Report equipment issues, damaged goods, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.
