You will be responsible for operating a forklift to transport merchandise, accurately tracking inventory, and ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. In this position, you will operate a forklift to transport merchandise to designated locations within the warehouse. You will also be tasked with accurately tracking inventory using handheld computers and other necessary technology. Stacking and rotating merchandise, replenishing pick slots, staging finished products, and loading and unloading merchandise from trailers are all part of your responsibilities. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to follow all safety protocols and procedures set for forklift operators. The role may also require occasional lifting of varying case weights, shapes, and heights, which is essential for maintaining the flow of operations in the warehouse. The work environment can be challenging, with temperatures in frozen areas reaching as low as -20°F.
