About The Position

As a Forklift Roll Clamp Truck Operator with Liberty Packaging, you will contribute to the growth of our business by being a key player in safely moving goods and materials around a high traffic industrial environment. As a Roll Clamp Truck Operator you will help maximize efficiency of the production process by safely operating mobile equipment to move roll stock from train cars and/or trucks, manage raw materials, accurately scanning inventory in and out of the business, and safely stock rolls according to procedure. This full-time position reports directly to a Production Supervisor and is located at our Brooklyn Park, MN manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution or comparable experience in place of education.
  • 2+ years' experience operating mobile equipment
  • Previous experience with a computer using skills such as typing, printing and data entry
  • Ability to use math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to read work instructions to identify detailed steps for order completion
  • Must be available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required

Nice To Haves

  • Previous roll clamp truck operation
  • Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of distribution documentation: pick lists, packing slips, and bills of lading
  • Knowledge of warehouse organization, workflow as well as basic inventory control (i.e., Amtech)
  • Previous experience with reading a tape measure

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate mobile equipment such clamp truck, forklifts, lift trucks, hoists, or other handling equipment in a high traffic industrial environment.
  • Accurately utilize an electronic scanning system to track inventory levels and product location.
  • Responsible for regularly completing pre-operation inspection and reporting equipment faults or damages to leadership or maintenance.
  • Move roll stock from train cars and/or trucks, manage raw materials, accurately scanning inventory in and out of the business, and safely stock rolls according to procedure.
  • Follow safety regulations and company guidelines.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
