The position involves performing trailer inspections for all inbound and outbound orders, ensuring that all trailers are properly secured before entering, temperature requirements are met, including food safety and quality regulations. Responsibilities include loading and unloading of product through the use of Radio Frequency scanners, ensuring accuracy and completeness of paperwork, and closely working with shift supervisor, quality control, and inventory control to address any discrepancies or issues with each load. The role also includes correctly receiving product from incoming purchase orders or intra-company stock transfers, ensuring correct case counts, code date, pallet count and condition, and recording of any damages resulting from transit. You will be responsible for the overall quality of outbound shipments, correct weight distribution within trailers, accuracy, and compliance. Additional tasks include put-away of received product into storage location, replenishment of pick locations, and full pallet picking for customer orders. Completing daily Powered Industrial Truck Inspection, ensuring safe operation, and reporting any concerns to maintenance personnel or shift supervisor is also part of the job. You will need to understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Saputo's food safety, quality programs, and regulatory requirements, and promptly report all potential quality, food safety, and workplace safety hazards to the management team. Participation in all required training, shift meetings, and committees is expected.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work assigned schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic math knowledge.
  • Demonstrated work history.
  • Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet physical demands required for the position (stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in cold environments and around moving equipment.
  • Good visual acuity with the ability to distinguish colors.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.

Responsibilities
