About The Position

The Material Handler is responsible for picking orders and loading/unloading cases of product to and from trailers and containers, and must ensure the accuracy of all orders picked and also inspects the cases and product for quality issues. The incumbent will ensure that the appropriate materials are supplied to their assigned production areas and lines, will shrink-wrap any material to be stored / or returned to the warehouse, and will check Pallet tickets and loads for accuracy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to understand, communicate, read, and write basic work-related English
• Must become certified to operate a forklift and pass a mandatory forklift physical

Nice To Haves

• Ability to identify numerous finished products
• Experience performing routine forklift checklist
• Experience changing forklift battery using proper PPE
• Experience operating and performing hoist inspection
• Ability to assist in unloading raw materials / packaging materials
• Experience baling plastic and cardboard and taking away trash to compactor
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and SAP

Responsibilities

• Supply materials to the line
• Remove finished goods from line
• Perform SAP Transactions
• Conduct forklift required checks
