About The Position

This position is responsible for inspecting and repairing vehicles, machinery, and light trucks.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of vehicle diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned equipment and facilities including but not limited to forklifts, warehouse, vehicles, and machinery.
  • Performs assigned repairs and maintenance such as tune-ups and oil change, checks tires and brakes, replaces spark plugs, replace batteries, starters, lights and engages in other similar tasks.
  • Identifies mechanical problems visually and/or with computer diagnostic equipment.
  • Performs test on tools and equipment to ensure repairs are completed properly including test drives.
  • Assists in inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
  • Assists in maintaining repair log for all equipment.
  • Advises Facilities and Maintenance Foreman of equipment and facilities malfunctions that may require purchase of new parts, pieces, or equipment.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area by returning tools to proper location.
  • Assist in coaching new hires during the on-boarding process.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
