Forklift Mechanic - 2nd shift
About The Position
To provide basic maintenance, repair, installation, cleaning and modification of equipment related to forklifts. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS: Safety adherence Preventative Maintenance Schedule Adherence Ability to handle parts without damaging people, parts or property Timely and accurate record keeping ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Recognizes, investigates and reports findings on maintenance problems related to forklifts. Ability to troubleshoot/repair forklift/manipulator problems. Hydraulic- leaks, resealing of cylinders, overhaul of control valves, etc. Electrical- starting problems, wiring repairs, etc. Mechanical- engine tune ups Engine/Transmission replacement, mast repairs. Assign shift work and train new employees as needed. Obtain/order necessary parts using service manuals. Attend meetings to discuss equipment issues or problems.
Requirements
- 3+ years Forklift repair experience
- High school diploma preferred
- Must be able to read and write English
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Self motivated and positive attitude
- Commitment to safety and quality
