About The Position

As a Forklift/Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to transport, load, and unload materials within the facility. Your duties will include moving raw materials, finished products, and supplies to and from production lines, storage areas, and shipping zones. You will perform routine equipment inspections and report maintenance needs, assist in inventory management, support production and logistics by staging materials, and adhere to safety guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.

Requirements

• 1+ year(s) operating forklifts or material handling equipment in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Forklift operator certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, twisting, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including hot or cold environments.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and tracking systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, overtime, weekends, and flexible hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials.
• Inspect loads to ensure they are secure and comply with weight restrictions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of material movement and inventory.
• Assist in cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as refueling or charging equipment.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, disposing of waste materials properly.
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational instructions.
