Essential Functions Statement(s) · Performs highly diversified duties to install, repair and maintain production equipment, vehicles and machines and the plant facility’s fixtures and equipment. · Responds to troubleshooting-calls on all types of equipment and vehicles and applies a high level of cause/effect analysis for breakdown troubleshooting. · Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of equipment, vehicles and machines. · Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. · Diagnoses problems, replaces or repairs parts, tests and adjusts. · Performs diagnostic and root cause analysis for all unscheduled breakdown events to prevent reoccurrence. · Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, vehicles, equipment and plant facilities. · Performs a variety of plumbing and electrical maintenance and carpentry and welding functions. · Uses a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. · Detects faulty operations, defective material and reports those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. · Operates a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel. · Moves controls to drive battery-powered lift trucks or carts and transports materials and equipment throughout warehouse and perimeters of facility. · Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to perform repair, service and maintenance functions for building and equipment. · Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas. · Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms or lifting devices. · Maintains clean and orderly work areas. · Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts. · Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards. · Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements

Attendance - Ability to work required schedule and arrive at work on time. Ability and willingness to work the voluntary/mandatory overtime that is required during the busy season and to work alternative schedules to accommodate the needs of the business.

Mathematics- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
Two+ (2+) years forklift maintenance experience preferred; one (1) year forklift experience.
Basic personal computer skills.
Valid State Driver’s License
