Forklift Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
TAS is looking for a talented Forklift Maintenance Mechanic to join our growing team! If you have experience keeping forklifts and industrial equipment running smoothly, we want to hear from you. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Forklift Mechanic will be responsible for the preventative maintenance and emergency repair of all forklifts at all TAS facilities. In addition, the Forklift Mechanic will assist other Maintenance Mechanics with the repairs of other equipment, such as scissor lifts, boom lifts, etc.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and without constant supervision
- Good communication skills including good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Ability to maintain professional and respectful relationships with internal and external customers
- Ability to proactively plan assigned tasks to reduce equipment downtime
- High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift Certification
- 3 + years of experience with forklift repairs
- Possess a clean and valid driver’s license
- Must have basic mechanic tools necessary to complete required responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair forklifts and other equipment
- Ensure proper preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner
- Read and comprehend technical manuals
- Operate lift trucks and equipment as required
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and Company policies
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Other duties as assigned by TAS
