About The Position

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Forklift/Logistics Operator in Warehouse to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Goodyear, AZ. The Forklift/Logistics Loader will work in conjunction with all Supervisors to support the production efforts of the Algona Plant on their assigned shift including production, quality, packaging, training and ensuring the plant environment meets food safety cleanliness objectives, and operates according to established safety standards.  The position will be required to work on 2nd shift, Monday thru Friday 3pm - 11pm with some Saturdays as needed.

Requirements

  • Prior warehouse or logistics experience is a plus but not required.
  • Recent forklift operating experience and ability to be certified day one of employment is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure the accurate handling and shipping of products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
  • Requires basic math and reading skills.
  • Knowledge of types and locations of products and truck loading procedures acquired through on the job training.
  • Requires use of warehouse management system with mobile hand-held computer\scanner acquired through on the job training.
  • Requires forklift operator's license.
  • Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload products from trucks and containers using manual labor, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
  • Organize products in the warehouse to ensure efficient storage and easy access for order fulfillment.
  • Verify product quantities and ensure accurate documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Inspect products for damage and report any issues to the Lead or Supervisor.
  • Prepare products for shipping, ensuring items are securely loaded onto delivery trucks according to safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Follow safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your coworkers.
  • Assist in inventory management by performing cycle counts and other stock-related duties.
