About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator with experience in loading heavy loads onto flatbed trailers. The ideal candidate should be proficient in operating forklifts and have a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for efficiently and safely loading heavy materials onto flatbed trailers for transport. Attention to detail and a focus on safety are paramount for this position. Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must possess a valid driver's license
Flexibility in scheduling - able to work overtime as needed
Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements
Ability to move awkward product lengths and weight.
Experience with operating a forklift with rate rating of 6,500 pounds.
Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment.
Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills
Ability to read, understand and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment.
Experience operating a forklift primarily with product weights of 2500 lbs. or more.
Prior experience lifting wide loads, as long as 18 feet.
Minimum one year experience operating a forklift.
High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Operates a forklift to move product and pallets throughout warehouse to an area safely.
Communicates any discrepancies, product issues or safety issues with Supervisor.
Ensures that product is moved and scanned using a radio frequency scanner to the correct location and confirm product labels are accurate.
Maintains a clean and safe area free and clear of any debris.
Anticipates the needs of the business, keeping like product together and accessible.
Successfully passes all Novo forklift training and operate a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo.
May place standup items into designated area by hand as required.
