The Dumper is responsible for dumping raw fruit, concentrate, or other ingredients into the hopper or the dump tanks. Dumping through the “chipper” will be required for frozen product. The objective is to keep the hopper with the appropriate amount of product and balance the dumping with the rate of feed to the hot set, or other constraint in the production process. The Dumper should be skilled in dumping product to avoid unnecessary loss of raw fruit and/or concentration. Product will be dumped from drums, bins, totes, tubs, etc., and knowledge of how to handle each container is required. He/She is also responsible for moving pumice trucks in and out from waste areas. Keeping the lab technicians informed of the product they are dumping.
