Forklift Driver

About the position

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, including Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks, to move products throughout the warehouse.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and containers safely and efficiently.
• Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Assist in order picking and preparing shipments for distribution.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating machinery.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with order picking processes is advantageous.
• Knowledge of various material handling equipment including cherry pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks.
