About The Position

Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier One supplier of Acoustic and Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking motivated and committed Forklift Operators for the manufacturing operations in Athens, TN (off of I-75 freeway between Chattanooga and Knoxville). The Forklift Operator will assist production operations in the manufacturing of the highest quality automotive products as assigned to meet or exceed customer requirements. This role performs all functions as team player contributing to the success of the whole.

Requirements

Ability to read and comprehend operational work instructions.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds overhead as needed.
Ability to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to work necessary overtime, which may include weekend work.

Responsibilities

Ensures forklift truck is fully safe to operate by checking for safety items and completing forklift check sheet at beginning of each shift.
Follows operational procedures for activities, such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments and handling and disposition of materials.
Accepts assignments and other responsibilities as required in support of team objectives.
Maintains good housekeeping in work area and throughout the plant.
Adheres to applicable IATF requirements.
Ability to read and comprehend operational work instructions.

Ability to sit for long periods of time.

All other duties assigned as required to support the plant and its operations.
