This mission is made possible by community donations, purchases, and partnerships. The BONNEY LAKE, WA store is currently seeking a Part Time Forklift Driver. This position is responsible for the safe and effective operation of a forklift, including loading/unloading products, stacking items, and receiving/distributing products. The role also involves assisting the production department and maintaining safety standards and accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

  • Passing of a drug screen
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training
  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, decision-making and communications skills
  • Superior coaching, leadership and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build understanding and consensus
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average
  • Ability to navigate through multiple program screens and easily use a computer, keyboard, mouse, 10-key and touchscreen
  • Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of a Forklift Driver
  • Must pass JJ Keller Forklift certification test with 80% or higher (Certification includes in-house training along with a verbal test conducted by a Goodwill Certifier)
  • Self-motivated; resourceful, creative; high integrity; problem solver; looks to resolve issues; positive can-do approach; and ability to build effective working relationships

Responsibilities

  • Operates forklift to load/unload product onto trailers and trucks
  • Stacks items onto pallets of various heights
  • Receives and distributes products using a forklift
  • Assists the production department
  • Maintain forklift safety standards set by Goodwill
  • Maintains receiving and delivery logs with integrity and accuracy
