About The Position
Forklift Driver – Lumber Yard & Warehouse (Heavy Equipment) Location: TBM Hardwoods, Hanover, PA TBM Hardwoods is hiring a dependable Forklift Driver to support warehouse, lumber yard, and shipping operations using heavy-duty forklifts. This role involves loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, and operating high-capacity equipment in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, reliable, and comfortable working both on and off the forklift to support daily operations. Requirements
- 3–5+ years of heavy-duty forklift experience required
- Experience operating high-capacity forklifts (10,000+ lbs preferred)
- Ability to safely handle heavy loads and large material bundles
- Strong attention to detail and workplace safety practices
- Experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory movement
- Ability to perform physical work and lift/move materials as needed
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to assist with tasks outside of forklift operation
Nice To Haves
- Lumber industry experience preferred (lumber yard, sawmill, building materials, millwork)
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to support material handling, warehouse, and lumber yard operations
- Load and unload trucks, shipments, and product inventory
- Move materials to designated storage and inventory locations
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and inventory organization
- Ensure accurate and secure placement of materials
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues
- Assist with general warehouse and lumber yard tasks, including manual labor
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
