About The Position

We are currently hiring for a Forklift Driver on second shift. This person is responsible for unloading raw materials from trucks, supplying production departments with materials and ingredients as required. Removing finished goods from production areas, placing raw materials and finished goods in proper storage areas, and loading finished good on trucks. As you develop your skills there is plenty of room for growth to other roles within the factory.

Requirements

  • Upon hire will train to become Lock Out Tag Out certified and maintain qualification
  • Must successfully pass forklift training and maintain operator qualification
  • Must successfully pass on the job training and maintain operator qualification
  • Able to read, write, and perform basic math functions like multiplication and addition

Responsibilities

  • Work in a safe manner, following all general safety rules of the plant. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks: Following PPE requirements Escalating safety defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
  • Assure we are always working to meet or exceed our quality standards. This includes but is not limited to the following tasks: Following GMP requirements Inspecting raw materials and finished goods Completing quality documentation Assisting in rework as assigned Escalating quality defects and concerns to leads/supervisors
  • Responsible for the operation of a forklift, which includes but is not limited to the following tasks: Setting up equipment Changing over equipment Shutting down equipment Operating a forklift with rotational forks Transporting various totes and equipment on the production floor Troubleshoot equipment as necessary
  • Support Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) at the operator level. This includes, but is not limited to, participation in the following processes: Shift Hand Offs Meetings Level 1 Meetings Performance Boards Centerline Management (CLM) Clean to Inspect and Reapply Lubrication (CIL) 5S Defect Handling Start Up/Shut Down Changeovers Daily Problem Handling
  • Work with support departments to improve line performance
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Perform any other duty as assigned
