About The Position

Under the direction of the Department Supervisor, the Forklift Driver is responsible for picking products from aisles, performing aisle replenishments, and moving pallets between locations. This role assists in achieving maximum efficiency and productivity, ensuring efficient utilization of equipment and facilities. The driver works with the Supervisor and group members to develop plans for fulfilling orders according to customer requirements, performs continuous quality control inspections of their own work and coworkers, and helps maintain compliance with Company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices. The position also involves maintaining a neat and orderly work area, interfacing with other departments, conveying materials, coordinating material flow, operating industrial trucks for loading/moving materials, working with a planner for daily workload distribution to the production floor, and assisting with Final QC and backing up other departments as necessary.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience driving a stand up reach truck forklift
  • Experience working with RF scanners
  • Great record of Safety practices and behavior
  • Dependability and great attendance record

  • Assists in ensuring that work group has necessary resources to complete requirements
  • Works with Supervisor and group members to develop plans for fulfilling orders according to customer requirements
  • Performs continuous quality control inspections of own work and coworkers during normal course of operations
  • Assists in maintaining compliance with Company policies, safety standards, and good house-keeping practices
  • Maintains work area, equipment, and supplies in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Directs coworkers to do the same
  • Interfaces with other departments, as necessary
  • Builds rapport with other organizational units and individuals critical to the group's success
  • Refers unusual conditions or non-routine problems to Supervisor
  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area
  • Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products
  • Operates industrial truck to assist in loading or moving materials and products
  • Works with planner for daily workload, distribute to production floor
  • Assists with Final QC
  • Backs up other Depts. as necessary
