About The Position

Moving various sized units and or products from various sources to the next staging area. Responsible for maintaining accurate records as to the location of the each unit moved. Responsible for performing basic equipment maintenance and general housekeeping duties. Assist general operations when needed. Requirements Must be Pratt forklift certified and very safety conscious. Previous Pratt and or two years forklift operation preferred. Experience with “scanner” or “barcode” warehouse management inventory systems preferred. Must have the ability to maintain and or identify equipment maintenance needs. Multi-task, interpersonal communication, problem solving, tape measure, and time management skills are needed. Must be able to function in extreme temperatures and must be available for weekend work schedules. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED. High degree of attention and control for prevention of damage to materials and equipment. Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following: Experience in the corrugated industry. Experience as a forklift operator. LANGUAGE SKILLS Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations. TECHNICAL SKILLS The individual must have a working knowledge of the following: Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation. Product layouts and production specifications Product quality specifications Quality standards CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
