The Distribution Associate executes the receiving, storing, picking, staging and distribution of materials required for assembly/manufacture of product, ensuring the day-to-day work tasks are completed in an ethical, safe manner. This position reports to the Manager, Distribution and is part of the Receiving Department located in Logan/North Logan, UT and will be an onsite position.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or local equivalent.
  • 2+ years' experience in storing and material handling.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English.
  • Capable of passing Department of Transportation's Health Exam to operate company vehicle.
  • Proficient in basic mathematics.
  • Ability to work in extreme cold conditions (-20 ̊ C/-4 ̊ F) on a regular basis.
  • Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Previous Forklift experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Oracle and Master Control.
  • Knowledge of computerized material flow methods.
  • Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control.
  • Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or forklifts.
  • Pick parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity.
  • Create and/or maintain transactional inventory records.
  • Maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activity.
  • Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments.
  • Communicate/notify appropriate personnel of shipping/inventory discrepancies.
  • Fill kits and deliver to production as required.
  • Maintain stocking/inventory objectives, and quantifies and verifies cycle counts.
  • Comply with EHS and Quality System regulations and policies.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
