Requirements

  • RELIABILITY - Team members who show up every shift, on time, and can work occasional overtime.
  • High School diploma/GED
  • 1-2 years of warehouse experience; food manufacturing preferred
  • 1 Year Forklift Experience required
  • Current forklift certification preferred, ability to get certified required
  • Demonstrated basic math and good communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy products weighing up to 100lbs
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Experience picking, material handling, and order selection of materials preferred
  • Strong math skills
  • Ability to work in a noisy, dusty environment that may contain allergens and spices and with high heat intensity and may be in hot or cold temperatures for long periods.
  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders and platforms and work at heights on platforms 6’+
  • Near/far visual acuity and ability to hear machinery alarms is required
  • Ability to follow GMPs.

Responsibilities

  • Check and inspect the Forklift prior to operating.
  • Make sure all safety rules are followed during the operation of the Forklift and bailer machine.
  • Effectively keep rooms flowing by lifting the new batches up and removing all trash from room when the ok is given.
  • Watch for pedestrians and is 100% responsible for controlling Forklift.
  • Communicate and interact with all supporting departments (QC, Formulation etc.) to achieve goals in the production areas.
  • Ensure all batches are complete and verified by QC before moving them into rooms.
  • Communicate with room Operators to effectively load platform or hang bulk bags so raw material can be mixed correctly.
  • Will remove and dispose of trash from rooms correctly.
  • Other duties as assigned.
