Responsibilities

  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
  • Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment, which may include fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as needed
  • Maintain all tools, machines, and supplies in good, safe working order
  • Report any issues or discrepancies immediately
  • Repair and maintain shop machinery and mechanical equipment including Material Handlers, Mobile Shears, Forklifts, Front End Loaders, Skid Steer, Stationary Baler
  • Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

  • Experience maintaining material handlers, forklifts, excavators and hydraulic equipment.
  • Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment
  • Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams and service manuals
  • Capable to perform the physical requirements of the job (lift 35-50 lbs)
  • Ability to work in a safety conscious industrial environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to provide own tools
  • Able to work overtime as business requires
