Responsibilities
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs when needed
- Prepares and maintains accurate records of services and repairs
- Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment, which may include fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as needed
- Maintain all tools, machines, and supplies in good, safe working order
- Report any issues or discrepancies immediately
- Repair and maintain shop machinery and mechanical equipment including Material Handlers, Mobile Shears, Forklifts, Front End Loaders, Skid Steer, Stationary Baler
- Any other tasks as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Experience maintaining material handlers, forklifts, excavators and hydraulic equipment.
- Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics, wiring, and working on heavy equipment
- Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams and service manuals
- Capable to perform the physical requirements of the job (lift 35-50 lbs)
- Ability to work in a safety conscious industrial environment including use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to provide own tools
- Able to work overtime as business requires
