About The Position

Weyerhaeuser Distribution is a leader in distributing building products for residential, light commercial and home improvement applications worldwide. We have an immediate opening for a Forklift and Building Materials Operator at our Spokane Valley Distribution Center, and we encourage you to review the responsibilities and qualifications and apply today! The starting wage is up to $21.00 per hour. This is a day shift position, Monday - Friday, 11am - 7:30pm with the possibility of overtime. Safely load and unload products from various trailers and rail cars Safely do your job to ensure your personal safety and the safety of others. Courage to intervene in any unsafe practice Accurately perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, and multiplying. Accurately count units, record totals and document shipping and receiving activities. Develop in depth knowledge of building material products and warehouse operations. Commit to quality, efficiency, and continuous process improvement. This is not an inside warehouse position. This role will perform manual labor 55- 65%25 of the time

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A positive willing to learn attitude.
  • Minimum of one year of forklift experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move or slide up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able work outside in the elements five days a week and occasional Saturdays depending on business needs.
  • Wear all personal protective equipment as required.
  • Ability to work on a computer.
  • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • This position is designated by WY as a safety-sensitive position. Please be advised that due to the designation of this position as safety-sensitive, you will be subject to pre-employment testing for cannabis and its metabolites.
