While reporting to the Shipping Manager as a Truck Driver, you will operate sit down forklift machinery to lift, load, or move material as directed.

Requirements

  • Are an EXPERIENCED (at least 2 years) forklift driver and currently has forklift certification or has been previously certified.
  • Must have previous computer experience; the ability to enter and look up information within different systems.
  • Must have ability to read understand excel reports.
  • Must be able to use an RF scanner.
  • You MUST have a valid TN Class A CDL and an active DOT medical card.
  • Offers are contingent upon review of driving record.
  • This job requires getting on and off a forklift as well as in and out of the automatic day cab numerous times throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to work in any climate, including extreme heat or cold.
  • Will be exposed to elements during the course of your duties throughout the day.
  • Additional physical requirements of this position will require sitting, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, kneeling, carrying.

Responsibilities

  • Inspecting machinery and assessing the work area before operations to ensure safety.
  • Taking proper precautionary measures when operating machinery.
  • Maintain and repair forklift equipment as needed logging all maintenance procedures.
  • Supporting essential logistic operations through storage, transportation, and repairing equipment.
  • Loading approximately 20 pallets on to a 48' trailer with roller bed using a forklift, driving an automatic day cab with trailer to our customer 10 minutes down the road and manually unloading individual pallets using a hook to pull pallets onto conveyors. This could be repeated at an average of 5-6 loads per shift.
