What We Need: We are looking for a Material Handler to join our Gunlocke team in Wayland, NY! What You Will Do: Loads, unloads, and moves materials and product to the proper location. Package, or unpackage materials for movement May operate material movement equipment (forklift, hand truck, cart) to assist with material movement. Perform packing functions that may include building cartons, packing to standard, labeling with correct information using a shrink gun and transporting unit to proper location. Perform shipping and/or receiving functions to properly load product onto correct material movement device (cart, truck, pallet). Keep a neat and orderly workstation. Participate in inventory counts. Wear all required PPE; work safely at all times and report any unsafe condition to your Supervisor. Perform Cycle Counts Will be required to operate a forklift, must obtain certification.
Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, stoop and bend for extended periods of time
- Ability to consistently meet high quality/quantity performance standards
- Must comply with company rules, regulations and safety practices
