About The Position

Our sawmill facility is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our Night Shift team and keep production flowing safely and efficiently. This role is critical to keeping lumber moving from production to storage to shipping. Position Summary The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating industrial forklifts to move lumber, materials, and finished products throughout the sawmill and warehouse. This position plays a key role in maintaining production flow, supporting shipping operations, and ensuring yard organization.

Requirements

Previous forklift experience required (sawmill or industrial experience preferred)
Ability to operate in tight spaces and high-traffic environments
Strong attention to safety and detail
Ability to work independently on night shift
Physical ability to work in an industrial environment (standing, climbing, lifting)
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Safely operate forklift to transport lumber and materials throughout the facility
Load and unload trucks accurately and efficiently
Move finished product to designated storage or shipping areas
Supply production lines with necessary materials
Stack, organize, and band lumber according to company standards
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Follow all safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Assist other departments as needed to support production goals
