About The Position
Plant Utility and Maintenance Forklift Operator Work Environment: Loud, cold, dusty plant setting (cracker meal conditions). Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm Job Duties: Operate a forklift to move materials as directed. Sweep floors and perform general cleaning throughout the facility. Assist with daily plant cleaning and maintenance, including after plant shutdown. Work in both active production areas and during plant downtime. Perform tasks in elevated areas and confined spaces as required. Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE (some provided). Other duties as assigned by plant supervision. Job Conditions: Very dusty, loud and cold environment. Must be comfortable working at heights and in small spaces with hoses and cold water. Must dress appropriately for dusty, cold sometimes wet plant conditions. Occasional lifting required (up to 40 lbs). Additional Notes: PPE is provided for certain tasks. Employee is responsible for following all safety and company policies at all times.
