About the position
Join our team as a Fork Lift Operator, where you'll have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, safe, and collaborative environment. This role involves operating forklifts to move products, equipment, or materials within the warehouse while maintaining high safety standards and ensuring accurate data entry using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Responsibilities
- Operate the forklift professionally and accident-free.
- Conduct systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift.
- Continuously track the location of goods during material handling using WMS.
- Perform additional manual tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead, such as sampling inventory and cleaning.
- Keep the warehouse clean and tidy.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles during seed delivery and return season.
- Maintain safety standards and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience.
- Ability to count accurately when moving inventory.
- Ability to read scales.
- Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.
- Alertness and awareness when operating the forklift safely.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to operate the forklift in confined spaces.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of warehouse experience.
- Prior forklift certification is preferred.
- Reliable transportation to the work site.
- Enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty, and a willingness to treat everyone with respect.
