To move all items in the department that require a forklift.
Requirements
High School graduate or GED equivalent is preferred
Minimum of 3+ months shipping/receiving experience
Willing to work a 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts with planned day/night rotation as needed
Neat & legible handwriting
Good communication skills
Able to lift up to 50 pounds routinely
Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
Responsibilities
Moving finished product to the stretch-wrap machine to be wrapped for shipment.
Removing full scrap bins and replacing with empty bins
Stock empty cartons on line as needed
Empty trash bins at the end of shift
Adjust rolls at unwind stand as needed
Stock pallets on line as needed
Ensure all incoming and outgoing containers and trailers are inspected according to SQF (Safe Quality Food) requirements and that the Dock Inspection Checklist is completed accurately
Change forklift battery or propane tanks as needed on a daily basis
Inspect forklift for all safety devices and overall sound mechanical conditions
Assist Supervisor and/or Lead with any other tasks that require a forklift driver to complete the job
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for themselves and their colleagues.
