About The Position

Interact with Production Supervisor, Team Leaders, Engineering and Manufacturing employees and help provide needed materials and proper set ups of all equipment and assist employees to safely operate equipment to make product that meets the Customer’s expectations at levels of quality and productivity that meet or exceed the established plan.

  • Requires a minimum of 1-year experience in manufacturing operations (2 years’ experience preferred)
  • Manufacturing background preferred

Responsibilities

  • Meet production targets, and quality goals.
  • Environment/Safety Requirements.
  • Adhere to and follow all Safety policies, JSA’s (Job Safety Analysis) and work instructions. Report unsafe behaviors and conditions.
  • Ability to understand and perform all quality inspections.
  • Frequently review the Quality of products following each process and provide feedback to Manufacturing Team to keep everyone in tune with the process.
  • Set up machines including fixturing, tooling, loading programs, trouble shooting, etc.
  • Set up modules using operator interface and robot pendent controller at all set ups and when needed for production quality, assure picks and places are always set properly.
  • Work in a safe manner always and complies with 5S initiatives.
  • Assist forge techs with lube spray systems.
  • Help with all CI (Continuous improvement) within the module.
  • Preventive Maintenance on equipment, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly.
  • Ensure that the equipment is operating properly and safely throughout the shift.
  • Assist with training and developing employees for further company growth.
  • Verify that we meet machine efficiencies, quality standards, and reduce scrap levels in assigned area.
  • Develop, suggest changes in the process to improve quality or maximize labor efficiency to meet goals of the company.
  • Perform in a production capacity when needed, call offs, breaks.
  • Assist in material handling tasks to maintain neat and orderly work area.
  • Ability to do the following roles: Forge Line Tech, Finisher, and Whitelighter
  • WI location and understanding.
