About The Position
The Forge Helper position involves assisting the forge operator with the forging process and understanding the operation of all hammers and related equipment. The role requires knowledge of hammer safety, setup of induction furnaces, and operation of gas and electric slot and rotary furnaces. The Forge Helper must follow ISO procedures, meet production standards, and ensure the quality of forgings. Responsibilities include keeping dies aligned, monitoring for quality issues, maintaining a clean work area, and reporting safety problems. The position also involves operating the forging furnace and performing preventative maintenance on hammers.
