Forge Athletic Trainer Purpose Statement: The Forge Athletic Trainer role exists to support the health, safety, and overall well-being of student-athletes while advancing the mission and vision of Forge. Through skilled care, proactive prevention, and Christ-centered compassion, the Athletic Trainer serves as a trusted resource for athletes, coaches, and families, promoting wise stewardship of the body and a commitment to excellence in care. In doing so, this role contributes to the holistic development of each student-athlete spiritually, mentally, and physically, helping cultivate a culture where athletes compete with integrity, recover with wisdom, and grow in resilience, reflecting Christlike character both in sport and in life. Forge Athletic Team Purpose Statement: Forge Athletics exists to glorify God in every aspect of sport while advancing the mission and vision of Forge Christian High School. Through relational leadership, servant-hearted coaching, and a commitment to excellence in both character and performance, we develop coaches and student-athletes spiritually, mentally, and physically. We strive to build a culture where excellence is demonstrated on the field and in Christlike character, where mentorship, integrity, and teamwork reflect the gospel in action.

Requirements

  • Holds a current Athletic Trainer certification (BOC certified) and maintains all required Colorado licensure and credentials in good standing (required)
  • Demonstrates a growing and active relationship with Jesus Christ, with a desire to model Christ-centered care and leadership
  • Exhibits a servant-hearted mindset, prioritizing the health, safety, and well-being of student-athletes
  • Strong knowledge of injury prevention, evaluation, treatment protocols, and rehabilitation practices
  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency and high-pressure situations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with students, parents, coaches, and medical professionals
  • Ability to build positive, Christ-centered relationships with student-athletes and the broader Forge community
  • Communicates and demonstrates an attitude that is Friendly, Fast, Fluid, and Flexible
  • Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate with the Athletic Team and align with the mission and vision of Forge
  • Ability to manage schedule, priorities, and coverage needs across multiple sports and seasons
  • Be present for all Staff meetings, unless sick or on vacation
  • Work "All Staff Required" events

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as an athletic trainer in a high school, collegiate, or clinical setting preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide athletic training services to student-athletes, including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation support
  • Assess and respond to athletic injuries during practices, games, and events, including emergency care when necessary
  • Develop and implement injury prevention programs, conditioning support, and return-to-play plans
  • Collaborate with coaches, the Athletic Team, and external medical providers to support athlete health and performance
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of injuries, treatments, and athlete progress in accordance with applicable standards
  • Communicate clearly with student-athletes, parents, and staff regarding injuries, care plans, and participation status
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and athletic training regulations and best practices
  • Prepare for and provide coverage at assigned athletic events, including practices, games, and postseason activities
  • Maintain and manage athletic training equipment, supplies, and treatment areas to ensure readiness and safety
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and care within all athletic programs
  • Operate with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and personal accountability
  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness while managing responsibilities across multiple teams and schedules
