Under the direction and general supervision of the Landscape Supervisor, the incumbent performs a variety of skilled manual tasks including various types of native conservation duties, trail repair, volunteer support, tree planting, and general forestry vegetation maintenance, such as trimming, brushing, small tree removal to help support the Vegetation Management Plan. In addition, some general duties (gardening, earth removing, refuse disposal, stocking and storing materials), as instructed. The incumbent is expected to perform assignments under various weather conditions. It would encompass various terrains including area containing Poison Oak, stairs, forest trails, hills, slopes, and rocky foot paths. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $26.60 - $35.78 (Hourly Rate).
