About The Position
The Forestry Technician position within the Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for maintenance and operation functions for the Parks and Forestry Divisions. This includes a variety of tasks such as removing trees, repairing and maintaining grounds, planting trees, maintaining ice rinks and the ice arena, and repairing equipment for the department. The role requires the operation of various forestry equipment and interaction with the public regarding tree removal activities.
