About The Position
The position of Forestry Aide is a non-testing classification open to anyone meeting the minimum qualifications. The successful candidate will work under the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), which is responsible for fire protection and resource management in California. The role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions and may require travel up to 80% of the time. The position is eligible for a hybrid telework option, but the candidate must reside in California upon appointment.
