As the Forester, you will be responsible for serving in the Division of Forestry within the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), performing technical and professional functions in the area of forest resources and land management. This Forester position has an emphasis on fire response. This position responds to emergency situations and plans prescribed burns for both state properties as well as nationally when called upon. This position assists with yearly fire training, training multiple states as well as volunteer fire departments for wildland response. This position also assists with the current logging operation at Morgan-Monroe State Forest.
