The Forester 1 role is an entry-level position in private timberland management. You'll have the chance to learn two career paths in forestry: assisting with the engineering/layout of harvest units and road systems for Timber Harvest Plans (THPs) and working with the Silviculture team in forest health and regeneration. If you're new to some of these tasks, our team will provide thorough training to help you build the skills you need to grow your career in natural resources. We also prioritize your safety with extensive training before you head into the field. Our goal is for you to be safe and to support your career development, including a clear path to becoming a Registered Professional Forester if that's your aim.
