The position involves providing technical forestry services and information to landowners and wood-using industry representatives, assisting with state lands management, and presenting forestry educational programs. The incumbent will operate and maintain various kinds of equipment in the suppression of wildfires, investigate wildfire causes, gather evidence, and conduct inspections. The role also includes public awareness initiatives regarding wildfires and wildfire damage, as well as performing maintenance and construction activities on fixed facilities and equipment.
