About The Position

The Forensic Scientist Supervisor is a permanent, full-time position with the Department of Forensic Sciences. Positions are located throughout the state. This is highly responsible professional and managerial work in directing a major laboratory or discipline activities in the state forensic sciences system.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage a team of forensic scientists and support staff
• Oversee the daily operations of a major laboratory or discipline activities
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination
• Analyze and interpret complex scientific data to support investigations and legal proceedings
• Provide expert testimony in court as necessary
• Develop and manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of personnel and equipment
• Stay current with advances in forensic science and technology to ensure the laboratory remains at the forefront of the field
