The Falcon Group is seeking a Forensic Engineer/Structural Professional Engineer for an immediate opening at our Warren, NJ location. This role involves leading and managing forensic investigations, report preparation, and providing expert testimony in depositions and trials, specifically for community association transitions, construction claims, and ensuring successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. The position requires a comprehensive understanding of forensic engineering and the ability to communicate findings effectively to clients and stakeholders.

  • Serve as an expert witness in depositions, mediations, or litigation.
  • Perform and coordinate forensic inspections to assess project conditions and identify potential issues or deficiencies.
  • Generate comprehensive field reports detailing observations, measurements, and findings from site visits and inspections.
  • Review and interpret drawings, codes, specifications, and project manuals.
  • Generate expert reports providing in-depth analysis, conclusions, and recommendations based on project requirements and findings.
  • Supervise testing activities and ensure accurate data collection for interpretation of results.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise throughout design and construction phases, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate and manage internal project meetings, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
  • Conduct and coordinate on-site inspections, documenting existing conditions and performing field testing.
  • Prepare written correspondence with clients and contractors, maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain organized records, files, and project data for easy accessibility and future reference.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural/Civil Engineering from a four-year college or university.
  • Four plus years of experience in the architectural and engineering consulting industry.
  • Experience as an expert witness is required.
  • Professional Engineer license is required.
  • Valid United States Driver's License is required for travel to client sites.
  • OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
