The position involves providing forensic consulting services requiring Civil Engineering expertise for various clients, assessing and determining the cause and origin of structural failures and damage, and providing oral and written reports of findings, including expert testimony when needed.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering or higher.
• PE license required in the state of employment or the ability to obtain it quickly.
• 2-10+ years of experience in relevant fields.
• Project Management and/or Field Investigation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform investigations and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties to resolve legal matters and claims.
• Conduct forensic assignments within civil engineering and/or construction expertise based on a scope of work and budget agreed upon with the client.
• Study and determine the cause and origin of construction defects or structural failures, including gathering photographic evidence and conducting investigations.
• Prepare oral and written reports documenting causes of failure, extent of loss, and recommended remediation.
• Manage multiple projects, coordinating with other experts to produce client reports in a timely manner.
• Ensure procedures are followed and perform safety due diligence during project completion.
• Develop and maintain mutually beneficial client relationships.
